Assuming you're here because of American Psycho...
Besides American Psycho, Patrick Bateman is in several other Bret Easton Ellis novels. His appearances are typically cameos, showing that his novels take place in an ongoing, extended universe.
Patrick makes a brief first appearance in The Rules of Attraction, as the older brother of Sean Bateman, one of the main characters. In Glamorama he shows up again for a short scene.
In Lunar Park, Patrick plays a major role. LP is the culmination of all of Ellis's previous novels. If you end up enjoying Ellis's style, I recommend going back to his first novel, Less than Zero and continuing by publication order to fully understand the themes and referenced material that have been built up over the novels.
Lunar Park expands on Patrick's story in a really interesting way. If you like Patrick Bateman, I'd recommend reading it!
If you're still looking for some more Bateman, read the emails, check out the comics, or listen to the musical!
If you've never even heard of American Psycho...
well damn dude. better start reading or watching cause there's a lot to catch up on!
