What are the AmPsycho 2000 emails?

The AmPsycho 2000 emails were promotional material for the movie, written by an anonymous author and approved by Bret Easton Ellis.

Read it here! (Same content warnings for the movie apply here. There is a somewhat graphic depiction of murder in the email titled Beyond Viande.)

13 years after the movie, we find Patrick Bateman in the middle of settling a divorce from his wife and former secretary, Jean. He has nothing to lose, except for the rights to his beloved son, P.B. Jr. Determined to show the court that he is mentally well enough to raise his son, Patrick begrudgingly emails his doctor, beginning what he tastefully coins the “therap-e” sessions.

Featuring lines such as:

The "Backstreet Boys," could they be more obvious? And how brilliantly they are managed and marketed. Little girls everywhere bemoan the fact that two of the band's members are engaged, while "I Want it That Way" has become the Gay national anthem.
I Hate Bad Albee.
Don't bring up your inner demons to share with the others at the table. We really don't care to know if you're afraid of Virginia Woolf. Stay home and freak out. Buy a Chainsaw.
I kept walking south on Broadway, thinking how much time has gone by. Has it really been 12 years since Paul Allen disappeared? I can't believe I married Jean have a son am in the middle of a divorce the biggest deal of my life a custody fight and I'm out looking for sconces.

TL;DR Patrick Bateman doesn't want to see a therapist so he starts a Substack instead.
